Enjoy a relaxing walk along the Murti riverbed surrounded by dense forest and the sound of flowing water. In the afternoon, drive up to Samsing — a scenic hill village in the Dooars offering stunning views of tea gardens, forests, and the Himalayan foothills. Visit Rocky Island on the Murti River and the nearby Suntalekhola forest camp area. Soak in the cool mountain air and forest ambience. Dinner and overnight stay in Samsing or Murti.

Day 2: Samsing → Lataguri & Gorumara National Park

After breakfast, drive down to Lataguri — the gateway to Gorumara National Park. Check-in at jungle resort. Enjoy a jeep safari inside Gorumara National Park — a UNESCO-recognised biodiversity hotspot famous for the Indian one-horned rhinoceros, Indian bison (gaur), wild elephants, leopards, and over 193 species of birds. In the evening, visit the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary watchtower for sweeping views over the forest canopy. Dinner and overnight stay in Lataguri.

Day 3: Lataguri → Chilapata Forest & Jaldapara National Park

After an early breakfast, drive to the mysterious Chilapata Forest — a dense sal and mixed forest corridor connecting Gorumara and Jaldapara, home to elephants, leopards, and rich birdlife. Explore the ancient Nalraja Garh fort ruins hidden deep inside the forest — a remarkable historical site surrounded by wilderness. Continue to Jaldapara National Park — the largest national park in West Bengal and home to the highest concentration of one-horned rhinoceroses in the state. Enjoy an elephant safari at Hollong for an unforgettable up-close wildlife experience. Dinner and overnight stay in Jaldapara.

Day 4: Jaldapara → Jayanti & Buxa Tiger Reserve

After breakfast, drive to Jayanti — one of the most pristine and offbeat destinations in the Dooars, nestled between the forests of Buxa Tiger Reserve and the Bhutan hills. Walk along the gorgeous Jayanti River — a wide, pebbled riverbed framed by towering sal trees and Himalayan foothills. Explore the forest trails and enjoy birdwatching in one of the richest biodiversity zones in eastern India. Continue to Rajabhatkhawa and visit the Buxa Nature Interpretation Centre. Dinner and overnight stay in Jayanti or Rajabhatkhawa.

Day 5: Buxa Tiger Reserve & Buxa Fort Trek

After an early breakfast, embark on a trek to the historic Buxa Fort — perched at 867 metres on a hilltop with commanding views of the Bhutan border, Himalayan ridges, and the vast Dooars plains below. The fort served as a detention camp during India's freedom struggle and holds deep historical significance. Spot hornbills, rare butterflies, and glimpses of wildlife along the forest trail. Spend the afternoon on a nature walk inside Buxa Tiger Reserve — one of the most biodiverse forests in Bengal, home to tigers, clouded leopards, pangolins, and hundreds of bird species. Dinner and overnight stay in Buxa / Rajabhatkhawa.
